The American International Academy offers this service to university students at all levels. If you hold a university degree from an accredited university, we will have it recognized and issue you a new degree from the American International Academy with the same academic level and specialization, according to the Academy's equivalency requirements. If you do not meet these requirements, you may be required to take some remedial courses to fulfill the requirements and complete the equivalency process.
Terms of the Equivalency
1. The coursework completed by the student must be identical or at least equivalent to the coursework in the curriculum for the same specialization at the Academy. In this case, the Academy will fully recognize the degree and issue a new equivalency certificate. If the coursework or courses do not match or are not equivalent, the student must complete supplementary or compensatory courses, which will be determined by the Academy, to achieve degree recognition. (Please refer to the equivalency fees and compensatory courses on the tuition fees page.)
2. The degree submitted for equivalency must be officially accredited by the issuing university.
3. The student must submit their original degree certificate or a certified true copy attested by a notary public or legal sworn official when applying for equivalency.
4. The equivalency fees must be paid in full after the student receives approval from the Academy's Degree Equivalency Department and before the new certificate is issued and sent to the student.
5. If the student wishes to have their certificate authenticated by the U.S. Department of State, an authentication fee will be added to the basic fees.
If the student requests authentication from any embassy in Washington, D.C., it is important to note that some embassies do not authenticate professional or training certificates. Therefore, it is essential to verify that the embassy accepts authentication before paying the fees. The authentication fee varies from embassy to embassy, and the student will be notified of the specific fee at that time.
